This product is not only new to beginners but to all beekeepers. It is a new approach to hive husbandry that includes a maintenance program to help prevent the infestation of mites. As the name implies, the Varroa Destructor mite is very destructive to the health of the hive. Since you are starting with new hives, Preventative Maintenance should be a regiment that is part of your Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). It is good practice to develop these procedures before the bees are introduced into the hive. But they can be developed at any time during your beekeeping adventure.
Your visits to the apiary for treatment or prevention of the Varroa mite and other mites start with mixing the products that you will consume. Each product should be mixed in a separate container, labeled and stored separately from the spray container. Remember mix only with distiller water. Our 1.5 milliliter activated ingredient is poured into 4 oz of distilled water. Then add additional distilled water until 8 oz has been reached. Close the container and shake vigorously for at least 20 seconds. Last, pour this well mixed product into the spray applicator that has been labeled for this product. Follow this process for each product that you are using.
When working with your bees, prior to having contact with them you should use Bee Tools Organi Shield. This should be in your SOP anytime you are going to use them around your bees. This can also be used on your cloths and gloves. Bee Tools Organi Shield was developed to make contact with your apiary, hives or Honey. This product eliminates the transmission of insects (varroa mites) thru your handling of your bees.
Our Bee Organi Shield can be sprayed directly on your bees. One suggestion is to spray your bees until a wet mist covers the body (But Please – Don’t down them!) when you get your new Nuke of bees, or when you transport bees from another hive to this hive. Then also use Bee Organi Shield in your standard maintenance procedure or when you see any mite activity.
By using Hive Organi Shield, you can spray the hive thoroughly inside and out, including all openings, to kill any mites. This is especially important if you are going to use a pre-used hive (or supers). This will remove any mites that may have burrowed into the inside of the hive. If this is a used hive, this product will prevent the transmission of mites and other insects, and larvae, from the old colony to the new colony when they are introduced to the hive. This is also the next step in your SOP. Hive Organi Shield should be sprayed plentiful on openings, cracks, vents and the landing pad of the outside of your hive. This also includes the stand that the hive is on and its legs. This helps wash off any pheromones left behind by other bugs visiting your hive.
Continuing thru your SOP, the next step is to spray the area and stands with Apiary Organi Shield. This spray has a proprietary mix that kills mites and other insects invading your apiary. This helps prevent unwanted guests from coming around your bee hive. This is 100% safe for any vegetable gardens that will have human or animal consumption. This product is also safe for any flowers that other pollinators will visit. The residual for all of our products is organic plant sugar ester soaps and CO2. All things existing in nature today. So there is no need to rinse your plants or flowers after you spray Apiary Organi Shield.
Remember, label each stored container and spray bottle with the product that is being used. This could be Bee Organi Shield, Hive Organi Shield, Apiary Organi Shield or Bee Tools Organi Shield. Each product should only be mixed with Distilled Water and stored safely. Also, the stored container must seal tightly,
because oxygen breaks down these products and makes them inert.

This is a new product for hobby and professional beekeepers. Our new line of 100% organic patented products will help you with on-going varroa mite control. This contact miticide is 100% organic and safe for use on your tools, Hive and frame, Apiary, Supers, and can even be sprayed on adult Honey Bees and their brood. All you need to do to mix our product is get 8 oz storage containers and sprayers that you can label and label them for each product you are going to use.
Once all four are mixed and into properly labeled sprayers, you can begin the miticide process. First you can use spray Bee Tools Organi Shield on any tools that might have come in contact with your bees environment. You can also spray Bee Tools Organi Shield on your clothing and gloves. This will prevent introducing any lingering mites that are in your smoker, or on your clothing and personal safety equipment. Once you’ve decontaminated your tools and work area, we’re off to your apiary.
In the apiary area it’s safe to spray any plant, shrubs or trees around your hive. It’s best to spray a significant area around the circumference of your hive to prevent any mites from getting to your hives. Once you’ve sprayed the apiary, you want to spray your hive. Spray the legs and the outside of your hive. This will wash away the pheromones and kill any mites prior to opening the hive. After spraying under the lid and any openings you enter the hive using your hive tools. Make sure to not use your tools on your next hive until you once again spray those tools with Bee Tools Organi Shield to prevent any cross-contamination and infestation.
Once in the hive, spray immediately underneath the lid and the rim of the hive for any bugs that could have crawled in when opening or removing the lid. Now it's time to spray the bees. Vigorously mist all the bees in the hive using Bee Organi Shield, starting frame by frame and wetting down all surface areas because this is a contact miticide ( insecticide ). This means that it kills upon contact, so the mites need to be wet for this to have action. Once this product goes inert, the residual is 100% safe, consisting of trace minerals of organic plant sugar ester soaps and Co2 which is vented off. This product is 100% ORGANIC and is approved by
USDA ORGANIC, the World Trade Organization and OCAL as an organic bio-chemical
miticide/insecticide for Honey Bees
and their environment.
This procedure needs to be repeated often due to the fact that emerging brood are extremely susceptible to and hurt by Varroa Mites. And having the brood infested will only continue the cycle of Varroa reinfesting the entire Hive.
It is safe to spray every 1 to 10 days 3 times to ensure you protect the emerging brood from the Varroa mites. This will break the cycle of infestation. Then determine what a successful maintenance program is for your area. The environment your hives are in will determine the regiment that you will need to perform to eradicate varroa from your Bee’s environment.
